“United in Sacred Awareness”
Dear Friends
Nona Brooks stated: “The only thing that truly unites us is a consciousness of the Whole. Then we love. Love sees the whole of humanity and gives itself to all. Self-seeking separates mankind. As we seek the good of all, we are firmly united.”
And this is the basis of Divine Science, which is offered as a way. Many know, from attending classes, that the foundation principle of Divine Science is the omnipresence of God; and what follows then is the PRACTICE OF THE PRESENCE. It is not a theory, but a way of living life!
The practice of the Presence is a fully focused moment by moment exercise. Stopping to smell the roses isn’t just an idealistic suggestion; it carries value. Do we try to fit too much into the day, scurrying from one activity to the next?
Working with one statement of truth at a time can be so fulfilling, and my soul is stirred when I contemplate the words found in the Gospel of Thomas: “Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift a stone and you will find me there.”
Jesus was not referring to himself, but the I Am—that Presence that he indicated when he referred to his mission yet said: “..the Father that sent me, for I of mine own self am nothing.” In this way he was bearing witness to the Presence and Power of God. In all he undertook, he continually referred to bearing witness to the One Presence and Power.
We all agree, I am sure, that this is a fine teaching, with no exclusive intention, but offering a way to live Life. We need to begin putting it into practise, and now, at this time in our experience, we have no better reason.
What is required is that we reject appearances. Human appearance is incidental to Truth. We need to look beyond the appearance, deep into what IS. The sacred is in, as, and through all.
Does this not explain so well, the Omnipresence and reality of who we are? God filling the entire being of each and every individual.
This again brings us to the consciousness of the Whole. This unites us and as we realize this truth for ourselves, we are able automatically, to realize it for all.
It is heartening to hear this message coming from other traditions and groups; we are all beginning to understand together; we are all realizing the same Source that unites us. We are all finding union in sacred awareness.
The message has been shared and taught over many, many years, and now is beginning to be understood as it is embraced in consciousness. Perhaps we are reaching that critical mass point, referred to by some.
I truly find it so uplifting that more and more, there is a “coming together” through this greater understanding and realization of One Truth for All!
In Closing….
“I rest in God.” This thought will bring you to the rest and quiet, peace and stillness, and the safety and happiness you seek. “I rest in God.” This thought has power to wake the sleeping truth in you, whose vision sees beyond appearances to that same truth in everyone and everything there is. Here is the end of suffering for all the world, and everyone who ever came and yet will come to linger for a while. Here is the thought in which the Son of God is born again, to recognize himself.
This is the day of peace. You rest in God, and while the world is torn by winds of hate your rest remains completely undisturbed. Yours is the rest of truth. Appearances cannot intrude on you. You call to all to join you in your rest, and they will hear and come to you because you rest in God. They will not hear another voice than yours because you gave your voice to God, and now you rest in Him and let Him speak through you.
A Course in Miracles.
Bountiful blessings,
Mallory
