Dear Friends,
“Are We Ready for the Peace Not of This World?”
The Divine Science teaching is not exclusive. Rather it is a principle and practice that is true in all traditions. It is a practical teaching and this is most important as we can speak about various aspects of living life, yet until we are actually practicing what we speak about, it is all lost to us. It goes beyond theory.
We begin to realize that the fullness of Spirit is forever pouring Itself through us. Right now, as much as life in general appears more challenging than ever, it is also an opportunity to put our teaching into practice. We have been told: “Prove me now…” let us take this opportunity to do so, as we move forward in the year, renewed in understanding of the Truth of All Being.
Most of humanity I believe, wishes peace for the world. Yet as is being clearly demonstrated from country to country—peace will never be in the world. Peace is only to be found in consciousness. And this is so often, even with the best of intentions, where we fall short. We want to see peace, to bring peace to specific areas, and even give instructions as to how to have peace in the home. These are some examples, yet there will never be peace in the world. Peace is to be found in individual consciousness, when each of us aligns with the Truth of Being. It does not matter who we are; it does not matter where we are. What matters is how we are BEING in consciousness.
Each one of us begins our lives on this planet from the embryonic stage to our current development. In many instances, we forget that we are first and foremost an idea come forth from the One Creative Source, as we move away from that Originating Idea to seek more than we already are. Jesus, during his years of teaching, indicated that we “take no thought” for the things of the world, and the passage covering this directive found in Luke 12:22-32, is often my “go to” reminder. When we let the things of the world take precedence in our minds, we allow ourselves to be dragged down, as we forget our true nature. How often we let our worry thoughts take centre stage, and then we wonder why things do not run smoothly.
Generally speaking, the going to any lengths in the world for power, attitude, shows that we are not mindful of the Originating Source of All Creation, God. True Peace, Joy, Wisdom, Love, come from within, gifts to each in their absolute form. These are the gifts we carry within—the birthright of every soul. It is through conscious awareness that we experience them. Yet it seems so many continue to seek these in the world.
We have stories in both the Old and New Testaments that give examples of individuals, young and old, receiving the call to serve Truth. This has not ceased, yet perhaps the noise of the world makes it more difficult to hear.
Today, Life is moving us forward, shifting us in our understanding to where we may play more purposeful roles; calling us to invest in THAT which is behind and within all form, and always will be. The peace all humanity seeks, is not of this world. As our exemplar, Jesus, demonstrated, it is a way of Life that is possible for those aligning with the Christ Consciousness. And this is the time to become receptive to the Truth for each soul; the purpose for each soul. To be a bringer of peace in consciousness. Now is the time when together, united intentionally in consciousness, we remember the purpose of the Christ—the birthing of Peace, not of this world, within your consciousness and mine.
In Closing…….
Where is our perfect World, our perfect Experience, our Perfect Existence, our Harmony and Peace? Reality is our Consciousness—none else. How shall we enjoy this wondrous experience? We must believe in the One God as Spirit; and have no belief in another existence. We must expand beyond religious beliefs and teachings.
Truth is not known through any system of ideas which have to do with cause and effect, changing and applying, regenerating and overcoming. Spirit is Truth Itself—immaculate, immutable, unchangeable. In the Light of Truth we see and know everything as it is. Spiritual things have no materiality. Identified as Spirit, we are no longer the self we seemed to be, but That which is the only One. We are That to which we prayed. We are That which has been the only One forever.
