Dear Friends,
We Live in a Completed Kingdom
There are certain things, directives if you like, that we hear over and over and over again, and they will mean nothing whatsoever to us until we investigate what it is they really mean; and then put them into practise in our daily lives. And it is by putting them into practise that we finally break through and understand their value.
I am using the passage found in Luke 12.22-32 – it is one of the passages in scripture that I turn to frequently. At this point I just want to emphasize that these lessons from scripture apply to each and every one of us.
“And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.”
We are being directed to move from the bonds of the material world; to drop our human anxiety and doubt and to shift in consciousness – to gain a higher perspective of Life. Because of our heritage, we are all so much more than we seem; we cannot be confined, and limited to just what we perceive with our human eye.
“Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?”
This so plainly illustrates for us how often our human doubt and worry prevents us from the realization of where we fit in creation. And not one of us through thinking can change the truth of who and what we are. Each of us an expression from the one Creator; sustained and maintained in our faith and trust.
“If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”
Again, we are reminded that the birds, the flowers, are being what they were created to be, in all their beautiful and glorious colours. And the birds express their joy at life; the flowers open up to greet life each day and we see evidence of the Creator in creation, all around us.
“If God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?”
We seem to have faith in possessions: money, material assets and so on, in the world; is this where our faith is? On what is temporary?
“And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.”
So often we are not looking at our sustenance being a daily experience, but a gathering for the future. When we take time in the Silence, in Meditation, we are sustained in mind, body and soul.
“But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
Human thought cannot change truth. Contemplate these promises in this beautiful passage and be reminded that indeed we do live in a completed kingdom!! It is to be found in consciousness.
In closing, we share these words from Dr. Max Ballard….
We do not have separate lives.
We do not have minds apart from God.
Whatever mind there is, is God Mind, and we are the expressions of that Mind.
Since God is LIFE, then we are the individualised expressions of the One Infinite Life,
and we live and move and have our permanent existence in the One.
The most marvellous news of all is simply this:
Because we are included in God,
and we are expressing the God nature,
we already have dominion over the ‘outer’ world.
Aren’t you glad we do not have to sit around waiting for some miracle to take place?
God has already made perfect everything for His man (woman), and you are that person.
God gives man, male or female, dominion and lordship.
It is written into the very constitution of our being.
Even the cellular structure is geared to manifest harmony and love and well-being.
As long as we do not interfere humanly with this God intent,
then we radiate the harmony and the love and beauty of our true heritage.
Bountiful blessings,
Mallory
