Dear Friends,

“Individual Consciousness”

A heading in one of Joel Goldsmith’s books states clearly: “Our Consciousness Externalizes As Our World.”  Well, if we really consider this, consciousness is the key to all our experiences in life. How we live and experience our lives depends on our conscious. It does not matter what seems to distract us or  what may seem more important at any given time in our daily experiences, we need to realize that despite the advancements that have been made in so many aspects of life, the key factor remains individual consciousness.

Thoughts expressed by Deepak Chopra when interviewed, indicated that we are a goal-oriented society. We are feeding false appetites while our real hunger remains famished.  What we are doing (he stated) is propping up our status and not satisfying our souls; and that part of our problem is that we are outcome oriented rather than process-oriented. We should walk a path because we love walking the path, rather than focusing on getting there.

Jesus and Isaiah gave their respective messages publicly to all who would listen, but it was not about the messengers—it was about the message. Neither one watered down the Truth to suit the tastes or mood of the masses, yet all were invited to partake and ultimately benefit.

When we pay heed to the teaching of Truth first, all else shall be added. Yet often it is the idea of the “all else” that grabs us and how often we would fancy a short cut to that. What are we conscious of in our day-to-day living? When we are looking at making the world a better place, we are looking at the human evolution—not the evolution in spiritual consciousness. In other words we are putting the cart before the horse.

It begins with consciousness! Individuals make up the masses/majority; individuals make up the remnant. The remnant are the small group of people who see beyond the tangible and visible. And it was the prophet Isaiah who took on the task of looking after this group at a very unstable time in Judah. It is up to each of us to choose. Let us turn the tables, so to speak, and through our individual participation and purpose be the instruments or consciousness for greater spiritual understanding.

Through our mindfulness, each is God in expression. We are being used as were both Isaiah and Jesus.   They chose to let God’s will work through them; their consciousness; neither of these way-showers tried to use personal power. Returning to Goldsmith, he stated: “The truth is that we are not in the world: the world is in us, and we are externalizing in our lives our own states of consciousness.”

When we discover the Inner Presence—that lives us—that ultimately is us, we will have discovered a Truth that IS and always IS.

In Closing…….

 A Simple Meditation
Right now, united in this moment, we breathe together the breath of Life, acknowledging the originating Cause of all Creation.
Sharing this sacred moment of Being, reverence for all of Life is experienced.
Accepting our individual roles on the stage of
unfolding understanding, we know that
Omnipresence is the equalizing gift to all.
And we hear the words:
“Behold, I make all things new.”
From this place of deep realization we are uplifted in consciousness, and with hearts overflowing with love and gratitude, we speak the words:
“Thank you, O most gracious God, thank you, for the promise of your eternal Presence.
And so it is!
Amen.

Bountiful Blessings
