Dear Friends,
“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But if that drop was not in the ocean, the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”
This quote from Mother Theresa supports my message this month which is about putting Principle into practice.
As has been stated before: knowing about, discussing, or investigating an aspect of Life only takes us so far, and once we resonate with a way of being, we need to follow through. It would be much like reading all about a healthy diet and doing nothing further.
We have a responsible purpose as individuals at the human level in our relationships, in society, and our responses to everyday challenges. Yet there is a deeper level at which to participate in Life; a level where outer situations do not put us through the wringer, and it is not our single goal just to survive. Through his teachings, Jesus emphasized our being one (in consciousness) with God. There are many passages in the New Testament that give evidence of this and to name a few:
• You are the light of the world.
• Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
• One God and Father of us all, who is above all, and through all, and in all.
We know these passages and they have been referred to many, many times; but are we ready to go beyond just knowing about them. The Principle of Oneness was taught not to make us as humans feel better, happier, richer and at peace. The ultimate teaching of Jesus was that we come to the point in consciousness where God is truly realized; and then it is no longer human consciousness but spiritual consciousness. With our human minds we can only realize God from a human perspective and then we think “we’ve got it”! But what we are doing is projecting our own idea or putting a human label on what we want God to be.
There are many paths to realization; and it is an individual’s realization of truth which brings us to our own personal communion and union with God in consciousness. Once we have experienced the realization of the Presence, we can never back-track – it is realized forever. Here at ACT, in our Teaching of Truth from the Divine Science platform, we show that the teachings of Jesus – the Principles of Life – are universal and inclusive. Seek first God – seek first the kingdom in consciousness.
Referring back to being just a drop in the ocean, let us first understand that we are all in the same ocean, we all have a part to play; we all contribute to mass consciousness. In the Divine Science text book we read: “Jesus pointed the way in which all may walk and know the truth of their union with God. While Jesus clearly saw the truth of his oneness, mankind has not yet awakened to the truth of this inherent Christhood. It is the destiny of mankind to express the Christ, for this cosmic principle within each individual soul is ‘the way the truth, and the life.’”
The New Testament teachings/principles need to be lived – put into practice. Are we ready? Are we ready to partake in a global transformation – a transformation that begins with us as individuals and impacts from being “one” to BEING ONE, as responsible, aware “drops” in the evolving ocean (consciousness) of Life?
Don’t let us wait until we come to the end of all our human resources; let us hand over and place our trust in God, knowing that all our needs will be, and are, met, according to His will, whatever that may be.

NOVEMBER EVENT FEED-BACK:
Our Shop ‘n Swop 02 November – after a week of really constant and rather heavy rain, Saturday dawned bright and clear and we had a wonderful day in our garden with everyone coming together united in spirit.
We thank each and every one who assisted by helping and donating items – you know who you are, and we know who you are. The support, enthusiasm and energy were really great.
Special thanks to Grace du Preez, Fat Cats Catering, who sponsored the tea, coffee and muffins.
It has been suggested that we do this twice a year! There are still plants on sale and these can be viewed and purchased on Sunday after service.
ABUNDANCE CLUB:
The September draw winner to be congratulated is: Katie Hulsman! The October draw will take place on Sunday 10 November after the service.
CONDOLENCES: James Pannell of Knysna, made his transition early on Sunday morning 27 October, and we extend our sincere condolences to Louise and family. James will be remembered as a gentle soul with a quiet sense of humour, and some of you may remember the wonderfully well-organized trips to the U.S.A. and Seychelles that ACT took with Pannell’s Travel. His quiet generosity of spirit will be missed but we know he is always as close to us as a thought.
In closing ……………..
“Jesus identified his mission at the beginning of his ministry: to change hearts and reveal the kingdom. Jesus established himself as the Ideal, as the World Light, then carefully transferred this recognition to all members of the human family by identifying each as the Light of the World – not to hide by to share as a sign of Sonship.”

Bountiful blessings,
