“My Kingdom is not of this world”
Who could have realized that a year later, the situation in the world would still have an effect on the way we traditionally celebrate Easter. However, the words above: “My Kingdom is not of this world,” carry for us a deeper meaning.
Easter celebrates the recognition of life eternal, as it was demonstrated in the life of Jesus. We perceive in His demonstration, a power that resides in every individual; the God-Self that can transform our lives in the same way It transformed His.
We will hold a time of Silent Meditation in our Sanctuary on Good Friday, 2nd April from 12 noon to 1:00pm. Mindfully, we will Be Still and withdraw from the world with its distractions as we focus on the Infinite Invisible. In the Silence, we will willingly surrender old thought patterns and attitudes as we prepare for our very own experience of Resurrection in consciousness. You are welcome to join us for all, or any part, of the hour; or understandably connect with us at this time in your own homes.
This year we are holding our special Easter Service on Sunday 04 April, at 09:30 in the Sanctuary. Communion will not be included, but we will be sharing our special ceremony in which we bring the Cross alive, in a tradition we have shared over the years, with the Resurrection becoming a personal experience for each individual.
Special measures will be taken regarding, spaced seating, the wearing of masks and hand sanitizing. Kindly let us know, via e-mail or phone, if you will be joining us.
Love and special blessings,
